JimKnowsKnots: In 1980, I was trained to climb for a tree crew. We were a lean operation and didn't have these new widgets called carabiners. We climbed on knots - no gear. Since that time I've discovered how the hand is a natural knot tying machine. I've also learned that the kitchen table provides the biggest disservice in learning to tie knots.
